#TEXT_ME_LAB (2018-19)
Curated and organised for the cultural organisation Atopos after the invitation of Vassilis Zidianakis and under the umbrella of Athens being Unesco World Book capital. The programme includes nine thematic events that range betweem lectures, discussions, workshops, and residencies of artists and academics at the space of Atopos, as well as collaborations with outside institutions (Greek Film Archive, Greek National Opera). Main points of interest of the programme are 20th century visual poetry, word and screen relationships, spoken word and the boundaries between poetry and sound art, as well as modern linguistic phenomena in online pop culture and new media. Some of the projects presented have been: a tribute to dada poetess Elsa Von Freytag-Loringhoven, Pokemon Poetry: a weekend on the relationship between technology and poetry/spoken word, a panel on memes and online discourse in Greece and more.
